Why we love this cruise line
Cunard Line is renowned for being one of the world’s most luxurious and elegant cruise lines, offering every guest a cruising experience of the highest quality onboard some of the world’s most highly praised ships. The company was founded in 1840 and throughout its extensive history over 100 ships have been part of its fleet, including such famous ocean liners as the Queen Elizabeth 2 and the Queen Mary. Over the years Cunard has built up a rich history and outstanding reputation; many would say that the three ships currently in the fleet each surpass that outstanding reputation. Onboard each of these ships you will find exhibitions throughout the stairwells and corridors which proudly showcase the line’s rich and varied history. For well over a century many travellers have consistently been taken aback by the high quality of every aspect of their cruise, from the destinations to the sheer beauty of the ships themselves and the many top-class facilities. The current fleet is among the youngest at sea, with each ship marrying Cunard’s rich heritage with the latest modern facilities of the highest quality.
What we love about Cunard is the thoroughly luxurious cruising experience each ship has to offer. When you cruise with Cunard, you are invited to experience for yourself the latest generation in a long line of world-class cruise ships. Cunard displays its elegance and history with pride and respect: you can see the elegance as you dine in the restaurants, socialise in lounges and admire the classy décor throughout the ship’s interior; you can soak up the history as you see for yourself how the ships have been inspired in many ways by some of the most glorious ships of the past. What is perhaps the greatest aspect about Cunard is that it cares about its heritage just as much as it cares about maintaining its impeccably high standard of cruising for future generations to experience.
Onboard every Cunard ship you will find a wide range of both indoor and outdoor activities designed to keep you entertained and occupied throughout your cruise. People of all ages and tastes will find something to do while at sea.
Make the most of the sunny weather by spending the afternoon lounging about by the pool then get a few friends together and head over to the sports court for a friendly game of tennis, or play some traditional cruise liner games such as shuffleboard or deck quoits. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the Clarendon Fine Art Gallery, which showcases a range of beautiful works by contemporary and classic artists, or admire a series of displays throughout the ship that pay homage to the history of Cunard and its famous cruise liners. Stop by the Book Shop and pick up some nautical literature, or a few decorative posters and postcards as mementos of your Cunard cruise. Browse through the library’s vast collection and check out a book that takes your fancy, then connect to the Internet and stay in touch with those back home in the computer center. At the Empire Casino you can try your luck at many classic casino games, including roulette, poker, blackjack and slot machines and hopefully you will win big.
Before the end of your cruise, be sure to indulge in some retail therapy, whether you’re after a souvenir or a precious gift for a loved one. You will many quality items available for purchase, including the latest fashions, designer goods and a range of Cunard souvenirs. Stop by the Image Photo Gallery and pick up photos taken of you and your party throughout the cruise.
